Industrial/Flex

INDUSTRIAL/FLEX

This Category includes places where goods are manufactured, assembled, received or stored on site and later shipped to users or resellers of these goods. Often these buildings have roll up doors, heavy power available, shipping docks or truck wells. These can be distribution centers for anything from grocery stores to auto parts to widgets. You name it and it has probably spent time in a warehouse on its way to you.  Amazon is the most common example that everyone knows of; this is a distribution center on an exceptionally large scale.

The industrial user might also want to operate their office functions in the same location as their warehouse.  Within this category you will find what is known as a “flex space” which might accommodate office space in the front and industrial warehouse in the back.
