The Impossible Story of Chandler Commons
Have you ever heard of Central Pop, Pie Express Chandler, or Hālau Ho'okahi I Ka Hula?
We’d like to share the story that brought these spectacular businesses to Chandler Commons:
Rob had a goal. A goal to do something that most would have called impossible. 20 years of work had not changed anything; why did Rob think he could do things differently?
Rob is one of the longest license-holding real estate brokers in California. After 44 years in commercial real estate, he knows a thing or two about the industry. Now mostly retired, he does hang on to one strip mall on the corner of Cooper and Ray: Chandler Commons.
What was his impossible goal?
Rob wanted 0% vacancy in Chandler Commons even though it hadn’t been done in 20 years.
So, he hired a leasing agent who adopted the goal as her own: Susan McCall. Tirelessly, they worked together. Rob’s goal was never thrown on Susan’s backburner and today they celebrate 100% occupancy! They did what couldn’t be done!
The best part is the amazing small businesses they found homes for! Without Rob and Susan’s dedication, the Chandler neighborhood probably wouldn’t know about these three businesses (among other tenants):
Central Pop: Craft popcorn that nails the classics and introduces fun new flavors; Gifting, parties, and more!
Hālau Ho'okahi I Ka Hula Hawaiian Dance Studio: Embrace Polynesian customs, culture, and dance with a Hawaiian-to-the-soul creative director.
Pie Express Chandler: Enjoy the most delicious comfort foods from pizza to burgers to teriyaki.
If you haven’t already, we hope that soon you’ll pop into Central Pop for some samples, drool over a meal from Pie Express, enjoy Hālau Ho'okahi I Ka Hula’s next recital, and check out the other businesses in Chandler Commons.
It isn’t just the accomplishment of a goal that feels good, it’s being able to bring businesses like this to a wonderful corner of Chandler!
