Susan No Background

SPOTLIGHT ON OUR NEWEST BOARD MEMBERS:

Susan McCall, CCIM,
is commercial director at Commercial Property Connect, a RE/MAX Commercial team within RE/MAX Alliance Group. Susan and her team provide sales and leasing services in all of the “main food groups” of commercial real estate: office, industrial, retail, multi-family, and land. She has been a CCIM for 3 of her 14 years in commercial real estate, and will chair the 2016 sponsorship committee.

She attended Golden Gate University and University of California – Berkley, specializing in Marketing/Advertising (at Golden Gate) and architecture/interior design (at UC – Berkley).

Prior to real estate, she owned and operated an office furniture dealership in San Francisco, representing over 500 lines of office furniture manufacturers and provided design, specification, installation, repair, and maintenance services.
She specialized in banks and law firms, and even became known as the Law Firm Queen, regularly speaking about ergonomics in the law office.

She and her husband, Michael, both sing. Really sing! Michael was the House Tenor with the Dortmund, Germany Opera House for several years and traveled all over Europe and the US as a free agent opera singer. Susan studied voice privately in the Bay Area for 13 years and performed in many operas, musicals, and small groups – sometimes as the principal character and sometimes in the chorus. Susan and Michael have a 16-year-old son, Tyler, who is also musically inclined. He hopes to attend Northern Arizona University and eventually become a Chanticleer (an all men’s orchestra of voices that travels the world and creates a seamless blend of stunning music – from renaissance to jazz, from gospel to venturesome new music). According to Susan, “There is nothing better to keep a marriage alive and thriving than singing love songs to one another on stage.”

Susan was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, but considers Winnetka, Illinois, where she spent her high school life, her home town. Her family still lives near there, in Glenview, Illinois. In her spare time, besides singing, Susan is a mosaic artist. She also loves to cook and read.
